Install a frameless whiteboard and assume it will stay looking seamless without any particular care, and small chips or marks at the unprotected edge can start showing within the first year. Keeping it seamless over time means protecting exactly the edge a frame would normally have guarded. Build that into the maintenance routine and the board still reads as one continuous surface years after installation. None of this maintenance is complicated, but it does need to be deliberate, since a frameless board won’t hide neglect the way a framed one sometimes can.
