Does custom whiteboard branding affect how it wears over time?
Why a waterjet-cut shape does not wear like a printed finish
A waterjet-cut logo, skyline or shape is a permanent physical cut into the board, not a surface coating. There is nothing sitting on top of the ceramic steel to fade, scratch off or lift over time, so a waterjet-cut design ages at exactly the same rate as the rest of the board. This is a genuine durability advantage over a printed or applied finish, which can lose sharpness or wear at the edges with repeated cleaning.
How a SatinTones colour-matched surface compares to a white board
A branded whiteboard finished in a SatinTones colour uses the same ceramic steel material and the same manufacturing process as a standard white board, in one of 15 tones instead of white. It carries the same lifetime warranty on writing and dry-erase performance as a standard board, and the same cleaning products and routine apply. There is no separate coating layer on a SatinTones surface to wear differently from the rest of the board.
