Company colours, a logo positioned in a corner, a subtle background pattern, or printed gridlines and headers for a recurring layout (a status grid, a calendar) can all be applied to a ceramic steel surface during manufacture. The print sits beneath a clear protective layer, so it doesn’t affect how well the surface takes a marker or wipes clean. This means a branded board performs identically to a plain one day to day, with the only difference being what’s visible underneath the writing. Some suppliers can also incorporate subtle textured or matte finishes into the print layer for glare reduction in rooms with strong natural light, which is worth raising directly if the intended location has large windows facing the board.
